Yesterday, we left the U.S. Open Pickleball venue and drove out motorhome from Naples to Fort Myers for a Camping World sponsored event. It has been years since they sponsored a rally and this is something we have missed.
One of the Camping World volunteers asked the crowd if they had ever been to any of the past rallies. This was our4th rally with them, and no one else had that many. As a result, he gave us a $100.00 gift card to Camping World.
Today, we used a portion of that to purchase something from their store. We also went to the pickleball courts at 3 PM because there was going to be a competition. It turns out that we were the only ones there. One of the Camping World reps was there with us. He had never played before, so we hit with him for a while.
After we finished he told us that he had planned to give the tournament winners a prize. Even though there was no tournament, he handed us a Shell gas card for $100.00
I guess we can't say we never win anything anymore. First, a Paddletek pickleball paddle, then two gift cards. All total, a value of around $400.00
We leave for home tomorrow with a lot of good memories.
