  • 2nd Day of Camping

    Well, this was our second day at the campground near the Pickleball venue and we had another great day!

    We saw great competition again; lots of great shots and great action. It's nice being under cover during the games. The canvas roof shelters us from the sun and rain. (It's supposed to rain tomorrow).

    Even though we are camping, for now it's mainly just a place to eat and sleep, and also a place to plug in the hybrid vehicle so we will be ready to travel tomorrow to the venue.

    We get to enjoy two hobbies at once: camping and pickleball. What can be better?

    Great Wi-Fi !

    Today at the US Open pickleball tourney, we saw Justin Gimelstob, Andre Agassi and
    Ivan Lendl. I never expected to see that many former pro tennis players at a Pickleball
    tournament.

    Ivan and his partner won their match. Justin and his female partner lost their match but
    he was in California yesterday at a cancer research function. Andre will play tomorrow.
    He was with Anna Leigh Waters to promote Pickleball to tennis fans. They held a news
    conference on the Zing Zang center court to answer fans questions and to let everyone
    know how much he loves pickleball.

    Unfortunately, we don't have tickets for tomorrow so we won't see it in person. We will
    record it and watch it later.

    BTW, our great Wi-Fi allows us to stream from our Roku device attached to the TV in our
    camper.

    Camping and pickleball: a marriage made in heaven.
