• Our Next Venture

My wife and I belong to the Catoosa Winnies, which at one rime was reserved for
Winnebago owners only. Now it is open to anyone with an RV of any kind.

Our next rally will be November 7th. We have a "Wagon Queen" that arranges all of our
rallies. The group is based in Cape Coral, FL, but we sometimes do parks as far away from
there as 70 miles or so. Our next trip will take us to Arcadia, FL not far from Cape Coral.

We always have planned events for each trip that includes games, excursions and one
restaurant venture away from the campground.

For info on our group, you can visit: https://www.caloosawinnies.org/schedule.htm

Sounds like fun. I don't know I could drive an RV, let alone afford one :-)

I hope you both have a great time, safe travels my friend.

Interest rates being what they are, a motorhome is a difficult investment to consider, but
the loan is considered to be a mortgage loan since it is a domicile.

It is highly recommended that you take a driving class that focuses on the type of RV
    that you own.

Backing up a travel trailer is different than backing up a fifth wheel.

For the motorhome, you have to be sure to use your mirrors and learn what turning
radius you have. Knock on wood, I have never struck anything when making a turn, but
for right turns, I always use my right side mirror to ensure I don't go over a curb or
strike a pole or whatever on the corner. You also have to be sure with right turns, that
you don't strike the car waiting for the red light on your left.

In the drivers class they call the driver the 'pilot' and the passenger is called the
'nagivator' :) Both feel comfortable in their roles, but switching seats makes both
    persons very uneasy.
