Same! Drives the wife crazy, so I bought a bunch of plastic bins with
drawers (DAISO in the Bay Area sells them cheap) and I try and keep them organized by type. But then there are the cabinets filled with keyboards, mice, PCBs, game controllers -- and like 5 monitors, including a HUGE
Sony CRT -- in the basement.

I have a filing cabinet with sterlite containers filed with cables, old hard drives, mice, adapters of all sorts, switches, etc . Going back to the 80s. It is my just in case cabinet. It is neat and out of the way so I never get any grief over it. I use my monitor and keyboard until they are literally dead and discard them as needed. Mice live on a long time…
