    What's wrong with the published #s? And if there are "hidden" #s, there's probably a reason for it.

    Hidden BBS numbers. Sounds like you need an old war dialer.

    I do find the concept interesting though. Not that I have the vintage
    modem and analog phone line. Haven't had a land line for at least 15 years
    or so.

    I run a dial-up BBS but, as its number is listed in guides I won't bother you with it.
