Has anyone bought or built a cyberdeck? Like a Clockwork Pi uConsole? I scoffed at first but now I'm thinking it'd be a cool project to print
and build:)
My closest attempt was taking a $30 netbook that came with Windows CE,
slapping a Hosaka sticker on it and installing Debian on it with a
matrix-ey looking background. It turned out to be surprisingly useful.
The network was slow, however.
NetBSD runs on a surprising amount of architectures, it might be
interesting to look at cast-off hardware that's supported by it. I had
a IBM Workpad Z50, a 2/3s scale Thinkpad with a MIPS processor and a
10" screen. It came with Windows CE but runs NetBSD fine. They're rare
now, though.
I may settle for stickerbombing my X60 and get some intimidating-looking
USB wifi with external antennas. Great keyboard.
