I'm slowly running out of space on my server at 100 terabytes of crap.

I'm thinking I could do a marketing campaign of sorts and get my BBS users to buy me the drives I need, under the guise of this being for my board and Fido ZC1 and how the entire BBS universe will collapse on its face if I don't somehow get the precious hard-drives I so desperately need.

Whats the best way to appeal to techno-dipshits to get the Paypal donations flowing? Fancy fake screens with an Ansi therometer? Bullshit who's paying with fake usernames and fake stats so it looks like I'm getting there?

Can someone with experience in bullshitting give me some advice? And remember, I just got my first computer and node-number yesterday, so you'll have to lecture me with paragraphs of BBS-101 as I have no clue what I'm doing.

You must be storing way more than just FTN related stuff, as I don't think there's 100 terabytes worth of FTN related shit out there in the wild over the past 40 years - unless you include shit people have taken from the web over the years and hatched out in Fidonet.

How much of this 100 terabytes will you ever actually use?

I saw that... There was a chick up here a few years ago that faked cancer, lost weight, shaved her head, acted all sick and many people in her town donated... she scammed well over 10 grand from GoFuckMe before getting caught.

She got charged but got a slap on the wrist, she just sobbed in court, started up with the tears and only got a few months in jail... And guess what, some dipshit was waiting to pick her up, shack up with her when she got released.
