• FSX_GEN offline?

From Winzlo@21:3/189 to All on Sun Jul 26 05:49:18 2026
Did FSX_GEN go dark? I can't subscribe to it, despite it being on the most recent infopack, and areafix seems to take commands for it (subscribe/sunsubscribe/rescan), but even a refresh of 365 days brings in no content. A-Net Online doesn't have anything in the area since last month, so I'm curios if anyone has heard anything about this.

Works fine here. You may want to ask the powers that be over at A-Net Online, as maybe their feed was broken for a bit.

    Its still a valid area.

What response are you getting from areafix?

Areafix says it rescans the area but nothing gets sent. I've wiped and recreated the area on the BBS to avoid duplications and made sure that the fsx_gen.* files were no longer on the file system.

I'm about to make another attempt to rescan. I confirmed by %LST that FSX_GEN is the correct name, and that's what I've got set up, just all the other FSX_* areas that work just fine.

Hopefully I'll get a response yet tonight.

Check your dupe detection also. If these messages have been seen before they may be trapped as dupes. The log will say if that happens.

    Yes, FSX_GEN is correct.

If you look at your "Packets and Files Sent" on clrghouz, you'll be able to see what clrghouz has processd. And if you click on the packet name, you'll see the contents. (For echomail too, and for files click on the date).

I dont see any netmails from your since last year so perhaps your netmails are not getting out.

If you can give me specifics - from your binkp log, I'll be able to trace what clrghouz did to your mails (if they are getting to clrghouz). I need the specifics, the log is too big to find a needle in a haystack.
