• DNS Suffix need?

From RickV@1:103/705 to All on Sat May 9 08:32:56 2026
    Hello everybody!
Is the DNS suffix required or needed in the FTN setting in ECHOCFG? I have binkp.net setup in a couple of networks but not others and it seems to work fine.

    Thanks,
    RickV

It usually not needed if the network has an updated nodelist and it's tied into your mailer (in which cases the IP or hostname of each node can be gleaned from the nodelist instead of DNS).
