Thirstyville display problems with Spinning Cursor turned on

If the user has the Spinning Cursor option turned On in User Settings, this causes display issues all throughout Thirstyville, as shown in the attached screenshots:

Pressing `P` a few times causes parts of the screen to drag upward, as shown here:

If the Spinning Cursor is Off, then none of these issues occur.
