  • ANSI Menus

    My apologies for asking such a basic question but I just can't seem to figure this one out.

    I'm running Maximus on the latest ArcaOS and have got it running and am able to connect via telnet.

    From reading max.doc I've gathered that my first step would be to convert my ANSI file with ANS2BBSP and ANS2MECP. I quickly discovered that TheDraw seems to add in control sequences that this tool doesn't like.

    But now I seem to have the .BBS and .MEC files created correctly.

    I've edited the menus.ctl. Under the main menu section I've added:
    MenuFile Misc\MHMAIN

    MenuLength 24

    MenuColor 15

    After this I recompiled everything:
    SILTP max

    But when I sign into the BBS, nothing is displayed.

    I'm sure I'm missing something silly but I just can't figure out what.

    Any pointers or help troubleshooting would be extremely welcome.

    in your MHMAIN.MEC you should have something like this to display the ansi file:

    [link]c:\max\ansis\mainmenuansi.bbs
