Hello Andy,
But I doubt I'll be maintaining modemu2k much longer.
I'm not sure that anyone cares about such things anymore, but I do.
I'm not sure there is much to be done with modemu2k now but I hope you
can keep an eye on it.

Thanks Alan. I just updated it to v0.2.2 ;)
I got a few messages here that are dated from 2023 I think. I replied to you then, hopefully. Probably I was using Prism
BBS then.

I saw those files on the BBS, thanks!
I'll get those files sorted properly soon.
I got your email also and then I borked my desktop before I had a
chance to reply. I'll reply to you shortly.

Yeah, sorry to say Prism is gone now since Janis passed a while back.

No worries. I logged in a few hours ago and downloaded a QWK packet. Didn't see anything from you yet. I'll check again in a few days.

This is the first I heard about it. May she Rest in Peace. I first "met" her around 2004. She helped me set up FidoNet on a BBS I was helping with. Later, she helped me distribute some of me work on FileGate. We occassionally touched base and had a few personal conversations. Someone as nice as her is very special. I wish I'd have been on Fido in 2024 to see what was going on and say goodbye. :(

I'm having trouble getting my desktop going. I've reset again and have begun fresh.

I have solved the issue this time around. :)
Continuing on I don't expect any issues. I just need time to sit down
and do it but it won't be long now (FamousLastWords).
Congrats. :) I got your message on the modemu2k repo as well. It sounds like your webserver is permanently down the, due to a bbbsd bug?

It's down now because I don't have a solution. I couldn't even guess
what tommorrow brings.

Hmmmm... me and Maurice like problems. I can't speak for him other than that, but if you think a solution exists, you and
I could meet on Jitsi chat and do some troubleshooting. I've been known to solve problems.

I don't know what Jitsi is but I'll look that up.

Last I heard, Voyager is still going strong. Shame on the Star Trek writers for having such a pessimistic vision of the Voyager probe.

How were they pessimistic? The program made it to at least six probes, four more than reality.
I rememembered in ST The Motion Picture
I was referencing the original TV episode of Vger. If I recall correctly that version of Vger was more arrogant and definetly more cheesie sci-fi-wise. Cheesiness is good.
You're thinking of the TOS episode, "The Changeling". The original
probe sent out from Earth was called Nomad.
first broadcast on September 29, 1967
