Does anyone know how to get a hold of Sean Davis? He said there
is some fidogazette software and I could use a copy of it.

    Surely you mean Sean Dennis.

    Oh woops. Yes.

You could look in an old FidoGazette issue and learn how to contact him.

You could look him up in the FidoNet nodelist and netmail him.

You could find his BBS address in the FidoNet nodelist (and in other places), and log onto his BBS to ask him.

I did - he posted a shutdown notice of his bbs and said he'd move on to other things. He hasn't posted here since. So all of that is moot.

You could find his email address in various places, and email him.

I looked around and didn't see anything. Even opened a browser and most responses led to the same posts off different BBS's web gateways. I thought, perhaps, the community might know how to reach him. I thought it would be quicker if I got an accurate address from someone who knows him. Maybe a phone number.

All I got from you is "I don't know" and "look it up." Neither of which was helpful or civilized.

    Sean Dennis? Oh dear ....

As for the subject of a newsletter ... there is already a newsletter into which no-one contributes. There were no contributions in this Fidogazette either when Janis ran it. Sean eventually took over and was full of enthusiasm (with a few others) to get it going ... there were several articles that were going to be contributed and/or waiting to be written ... until the requests for contributions were made.

Exactly 1 (one) article was submitted ... by myself ... to Sean's surprise ... and, to quote Shakespeare in 'Hamlet' ... "The rest is silence".

For this project of yours to succeed, eventually you're going to have to write everything yourself, look it up yourself, cut and paste yourself, re-format yourself ...

What I'm saying is you will fail in your effort, but I have failed too in things over the years and could be mistaken. So go ahead and prove me wrong.

    You're not a sysop, right?

    Have a nice day,

He has an address in the MTLNET that he rules over:

Zone Coordinator: Sean Dennis 618:618/0 (zc@minftn.net)

There is also a Fidonet reference:

Ummmm..... no. He hasn't shut down. He may not have posted here in
*this* echo recently, but certainly has been posting elsewhere.

Also, for clarification - you tried ALL THREE of those contact methods I suggested above? You looked in one of the more recent FG issues? You netmailed him on FidoNet?

You could find his email address in various places, and email him.

You didn't look very hard, I guess.

Not really true. I provided you with *FOUR* valid and helpful ways to
contact him, and you failed. Not my fault. <SHRUG>

He is (back?) online. My system connects with his multiple times daily. I would try contacting him via netmail, as Dan suggested, or via any other contact methods that might have been mentioned in the Gazzette.
