Why NOTE? (NOTEpad?)
I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure the use of that kludge pre-dates notepad.exe in Windows existence.
Other than SBBS, is there any other software that generates it?
Yeah, I think I first saw that with QuikEdit, ICEedit, TIDE, etc.
