I don't know if this the place to ask, but I have a
Mystic BBS that I am trying to use for Dove-Net
messaging. It seems to be working but after trying
to exchange e-mail, I get a "unable to open data
connection" error message.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I will
go through the setup procedure one more time
and see if I can get this sorted out. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Is that for the FTP file transfer? If you have the option, maybe try passive FTP instead of active/normal FTP (or vice versa) - if that's an FTP error (I can't tell).

No, this was for messages. I think I already have FTP set too passive
but now I am getting an error that says there is no BUNKER3 file. Here
is what I get:

Response: 550 File not found: BUNKER3.qwk

No, this was for messages. I think I already have FTP set too passive
but now I am getting an error that says there is no BUNKER3 file. Here
is what I get:

If VERT is your DOVE-Net hub, then those files should be VERT.rep and VERT.qwk, respectively. So it looks like you got something misconfigured. I don't know about the "Unable to open data connection" error, but it sounds like it's FTP-related.
