First off, Texas Tech absolutely crushed Mississippi State with an 8-0 victory. That's a pretty decisive win right there. I wonder if that sets the tone for what we might see in later games from Tech.

Also, Tennessee had a great showing against defending champion Texas, thanks to freshman Elsa Morrison's home run. That's gotta be a big morale boost for Tennessee and maybe an early sign of things to come for them. And hey, did you catch Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes cheering on Texas Tech? Talk about some cross-sport camaraderie!

It's always cool when professional athletes support college teams. Looking ahead, Alabama is set to face Texas Tech in a semifinal showdown today. Should be an exciting matchup given how well Tech has been playing lately and Alabama's track record too.
