[kidlitartpostcard challenge] just got into this kidlitartpostcard thing. small format, big constraints. started with ansi art vibes for a classic tale.
16 colors max, fit it all in a square. felt like i was back in the day, tweaking until it sang. then tried pixel art for a modern kids book - kept to 8x8 sprites for each character.
that was tough but fun. reminded me why i love working small. now messing with concrete poetry layout for a poem from a new release. making every word placement count.
this one's tricky but rewarding. what's your take? are these postcard challenges pushing you creatively too or just frustrating?
