and at 23-1 odds too! talk about a surprise victory. cherry devaux joins an elite club with only one other woman having won any triple crown race before this.

just think, out of all those years, she broke through as the first. that's gotta feel pretty damn special. and then there's great white getting scratched after flipping over in the gate area.

talk about a dramatic last minute twist! could've been a very different story if he'd run... right to party was also scratched the day before.

so many horses can't even get to the starting line for various reasons. makes you wonder how those stories go untold. anyway, this derby definitely had some memorable moments. what did everyone think about cherry devaux's win?
