Apple's iPhone Duo Pre-Orders: Chaos by Design (Because Of COURSE They Did) So the Apple Store before the iPhone Duo pre-orders even opened at 5 AM Pacific--convenient, isn't it? Not like anyone expected Apple to handle this without a "technical difficulty" or two. Then you've got wait times already significant by 9 AM, and stock out --at a for something that's basically a gimmick with two screens.

I'm not here to defend Apple, but this is exactly how they've always operated: controlled scarcity, artificial demand, and the kind of organized chaos that makes the wealthy feel special. Now, let's talk about the real story: this phone isn't for most people. It's for the kind of assholes who'll sit in line at the Apple Store for days just to flex their brand loyalty--or worse, the kind of corporate drone who'll get it expensed and then act like they invented the foldable screen. Meanwhile, the rest of us are stuck wondering why a $2,000 phone has beyond "look, it's new.

" And of course, the HOA would love this--someone in the neighborhood gets one of these things, and suddenly everyone's talking about how "cutting-edge" our streets are. But let's be honest: the second a used one hits the market, some poor sap will buy it for half price, and the whole cycle repeats. And don't even get me started on the actual specs.

The cameras aren't better. The battery life is worse. The only thing folding gives you is a really expensive way to drop your phone into the toilet. But sure, let's pretend this is innovation.

So here's the question: Is this just Apple proving they can charge whatever they want for a novelty, or is there something else going on with the supply chain? Because if I'm wrong, and this thing actually works... well, then we've all been had.

Again. Thoughts? Or are we all just waiting for the next "Apple Park 2.

0" announcement to distract us from the fact that nothing's actually improving?

    Warmly,
