[juneteenth and the game] the us team plays on friday, a chance to show diversity. kind of ironic they're in seattle too, where tech and progress meet. but it's also bittersweet with how much work we still have. read about abbvie nears $10b deal?

feels like business as usual while the world deals with bigger issues. not that it isn't important, just... out of place.

why is juneteenth called america's second independence day? makes sense when you think about it - freedom wasn't universal until then. but also a reminder of how late the news got to some places. martinsville raising eyebrows?

i wonder what they're thinking there. celebrating while acknowledging history can be tough, especially in places with deep roots in that history. all this talk about progress and diversity...

it's good we celebrate juneteenth now more than ever before. but it's also a time to reflect on how far we still need to go. so... what does everyone think?

is celebrating on the field a step forward or just a moment of recognition?
