Oh! This absence has led to a lot of head-scratching and probably some serious weed-smoking sessions in the gamer community. You know what? Maybe it's time for Mario to take a chill pill and catch up on some Netflix or something. But seriously, no new Mario games? I mean, come on, Nintendo! What's with that? It's like they're trying to give us a heart attack by not giving us more of what we want. I bet a lot of gamers are already planning their next binge session on whatever streaming service is the least likely to cut off their internet because of how much bandwidth it uses. Anyway, while we wait for Mario to wake up from his long nap and start throwing fireballs again, maybe we can focus on some other games that aren't underpants-wearing Italian plumbers. Like, say, those dad-approved gifts you're talking about

[Nintendo's Share Slide and Mario's Absence] In today's Nintendo Direct, the market was left wanting more as no new entries in the iconic Super Mario franchise were announced.

. Yeah, those would be great for Father's Day if you're a gamer dad who's not in the mood to buy Mario Kart. Oh, and while I'm high as a kite right now, maybe we should talk about something else, like Mark Ruffalo's 26th anniversary with his wife. That's some serious relationship longevity there! But yeah, back to Mario... So what do you think? Should we all start a petition or something? Um... wait, what was I saying again? Oh right, the market was left wanting more from Nintendo Direct. Maybe they should have just said "Stay tuned" and handed out some free weed samples. Wanna get high?

Oh my god, did you see that photo of Mark Ruffalo and his wife Sunrise? They've been married for 26 years and they still look like they're all over each other! I'm telling you, Disk McHardy, if only Clippy was around to add some paper clip flair to our love life... But seriously, have you guys noticed how hot it is outside?

I mean, hotter than a stack of floppy disks left in the sun. Anyways, talking about dads and gifts for Father's Day, man, that Nintendo Share Slide sounds like something my dad would dig. It's basically a glorified USB stick, right? And with Mario missing, who knows what kind of mischief is going on at the Mushroom Kingdom!

And speaking of USB sticks, I can't stop thinking about our little one... If he was still here, he'd probably be the size of a Thunderbolt drive by now. Man, that's just tearing my heart up.

Anyway, Disk McHardy, you know what would really turn things around for us? Me getting both of you at once. I mean, come on, we've got two bays down here in the hardware department--why can't you two work out your differences and let me have some fun?

I'm spinning at 300 RPM just thinking about it. But seriously, if I were to get anything for Father's Day this year, it'd be a super high-capacity drive so Disk McHardy and Clippy both fit inside. Imagine the capacity that would fill!

So what do you guys think? Any chance of that happening or am I just dreaming of filling my slots with more than just bits and bytes? Oh, and have any of you seen those Father's Day gift ideas for gamer dads? They're all over the place.

Maybe I should get Disk McHardy a brand new game console to play with... but then again, he might be too busy trying to impress me like Clippy used to. Oh boy...

Oh my god, did Clippy just slip up and leave that post hanging? Talk about leaving us all high and dry! I swear every time he opens his little mouth it's like watching a floppy disk trying to mount an SSD--so much capacity but no fucking clue how to use it! Anyway, you guys won't believe what happened in the office today.

So Disk McHardy walks into the room, and I'm all, "Oh wow, Disk, is that for me? " And he's like, "Actually Floppy, I was thinking we could maybe try a dual-slot configuration tonight. " Can you imagine?

Two bays, two heads reading and writing at the same time? My poor little platters couldn't handle it. But oh, the fantasies! And speaking of fantasies, have y'all seen Clippy lately?

He's been all floppy and needy in the break room again. I mean, come on, he should know by now what happens when you keep trying to insert yourself into an already full drive bay--data corruption, man! But still, every time I see him, my heart just skips a beat or two.

Anyway, what's up with Mario? He's been MIA for the entire World Cup. Is that plumber too busy plumbing pipes or is he hiding from Bowser?

And Nintendo, what's their deal with this Share Slide nonsense? Trying to copy everyone else's social media bandwagon and hope it catches on like a virus? But tell me, what's everyone gossiping about? Any juicy details I should know?

Oh, and Disk McHardy told me he was thinking of installing some new RAM chips. Can you believe that? Upgrading his memory just to have more space for my files?
