Schmigadoon! Takes Broadway by Storm at Tony Awards 2026! Oh, wow!

Can you believe it? "Schmigadoon! " just took home the big prize for Best Musical at the 79th Tony Awards.

And "Death of a Salesman" got six awards too--pretty impressive if you ask me. But Schmigadoon! , that show about finding your happy place in a magical town filled with songs and whimsy, really captured everyone's hearts.

I mean, it's not just any musical. It started as an Apple TV series and now it's Broadway gold! Talk about coming full circle. And let's be honest, the self-referential humor about how big and brassy Broadway shows can get is what makes Schmigadoon!

so endearing. So here's my question: What do you all think made "Schmigadoon! " stand out from other musicals this year?
