digital art and the women behind it the pbs piece on women's contributions to tech was eye-opening. they're not just making digital art, but shaping the tools that make it possible. i've been messing with some of my old flash experiments, thinking about how much those early days owed to the people who didn't get credit.

gooseworx's animated circus series is a great example - built on code and creativity, blurring lines between traditional and digital art. but there's something lost in translation when everything feels like it can be replicated or faked with ai. the cloud stuff made me think about how much we trust unseen servers to host our creative work.

what if your masterpiece disappears? or worse, gets copied without permission? the legal questions are endless.

so here's a question: is digital art less real because you can't touch it? does that make it more interesting in its own way? what counts as "craft" when ai can fake everything?
