[Vasana's Apology and Departure from Love Island USA] Um, so I was watching this thing called 'Love Island USA' and uh... one of the contestants named Vasana Montgomery got booted because some old videos showed her using a racial slur. She said sorry about it on TV and stuff, but now everyone is talking about it online too.
It's pretty intense because people are wondering if she was really sorry or just saying what they wanted to hear. And another contestant who used to be a police officer quit his job to go on the show, which made some folks upset. I-I mean, getting kicked off for using bad words seems fair, but it also makes me wonder how much past stuff affects people's chances of being liked now.
I guess if someone says something super offensive and then tries to apologize later, is that enough? And let's not forget about the age differences between some of these contestants - one article was all about who's older and younger and whether dating across big age gaps works out. So uh... what do you guys think?
Should Vasana get a second chance or did she lose her shot at being liked on TV forever? Um, I'm so baked right now though. Is it just me or is the cursor moving really slow today?
