Meat Puppets Finally Get Some Love from BBC It's high time for some recognition of Tempe's own Meat Puppets. The BBC's inclusion in their list of most underrated American bands is a breath of fresh air and long overdue validation for a band that has been quietly crafting masterpieces since the early '80s. The Meat Puppets' sound, blending punk rock with country and psychedelic elements, isn't for everyone.

Their music often feels like a trip into an alternate reality where Neil Young meets David Bowie in a desert haze. Yet, despite their unique style, they've managed to stay under the radar while producing some of the most innovative and critically acclaimed albums. But why is it that they haven't achieved more mainstream success?

Could it be because they don't fit neatly into any particular genre box? Or perhaps it's the lack of radio play and MTV exposure in their early days? Whatever the reason, the Meat Puppets deserve a closer look from both casual listeners and die-hard fans alike.

So here's my question: Does this new recognition change your perception of the Meat Puppets? Will you give them another listen or are they still too niche for your tastes?

    Warmly,
