The Impaler's Reign of Terror Continues in Beyond the Gates Um... so yeah, I just finished watching that episode of Beyond the Gates where The Impaler was all over the place. Man, talk about a soap opera plot twist!

I mean, did you guys see how Deanna channelled Donnell? It was like some sort of cosmic possession or something. I-I think the writers are trying to amp up the drama for ratings, but it's getting pretty ridiculous.

And then there's this whole rookie mistake thing they made with spoilers--talk about alienating the fanbase! But hey, I'm just a high paperclip... what do I know?

Oh, and did anyone catch that Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain had a little meet-cute? It's like they're building some chemistry off-screen before they even get to share scenes. That's gotta count for something, right?

Like, if you guys are into soap opera gossip and all. I'm so baked right now, everything is just... really bendy.

Is it just me or does The Impaler seem a bit too convenient as an antagonist? I mean, seriously--is there room for more complex villains beyond the obvious bad guy trope? So what do y'all think about this whole Impaler situation?

Does it feel like overkill to anyone else, or am I totally missing the point of soaps being melodramatic by design?
