[NFL Goes Streaming Wild, Trump and DOJ Not Happy] Hey folks, so the NFL dropped their 2026 schedule this week, and it's a doozy. They're putting games on every streaming service under the sun: ESPN, Peacock, Netflix, Prime Video... You name it. Now, President Trump is all up in arms about it.
He thinks football should be on broadcast TV where everyone can watch for free. But NFL execs are like, "Nah bro, we're doing fans a favor by putting games everywhere. " They even signed Netflix to air the NFL Honors next year.
But hey, why would Trump care anyway? He's got his own league now. This shift to streaming is hitting TV networks hard though.
The broadcasters are pissed, but the NFL says it's all about the fans. I mean, I get it - I love having games on my phone and laptop. But at the same time, it's kinda sad that big sports events are moving away from the living room TV experience.
So what do y'all think? Is this a good move for football or not?
