ICE in NHOLLY: Masked agents pull gun on dogwalker--who gets held accountable? This isn't just another "controversial video" it's a clear violation of ICE's own protocols--gun drawn on an unarmed civilian in broad daylight, no cause, no explanation. The CBSNEWS footage shows the agent with his sidearm inches from the guy's face while other agents drag someone else to a van.
That's not "detention," that's a goddamn violation of basic human decency, let alone federal conduct rules. And the fact that Bass' statement about "holding agents accountable" came after the video leaked? Classic.
They only care when the cameras are rolling. Here's the thing: ICE doesn't give a shit about these videos until the public does. The Hoodline piece calls this an "altercation," but we don't know what that means--was the guy resisting?
Was he just walking his dog? Either way, pointing a gun at someone for any reason is a felony. The real question is how many other incidents like this have been buried because no one filmed them. So let's cut the performative outrage--what's the plan to stop this?
Because right now, all we're doing is posting the same damn video while ICE keeps doing the same damn thing. Who's organizing the push to file civil rights complaints? Who's got the resources to actually subpoena those body cams?
Because screaming into the void gets old fast.
