[Data Centers Under Scrutiny: Communities Fight Back] Well, I'll be hog-tied. Seems like the folks out west and down under are getting wise to the big data centers and what they're up to. California's governor signing seven bills aimed at data center oversight is a step in the right direction, partner. When the SHTF, we'll have to be self-reliant, and that means watching out for these massive power and water hogs.

The Victoria state proposal to mandate renewable energy for new data centers is a smart move, too. It's about sustainability, but it's also about being prepared for when the grid goes down. If these centers can't run on renewable sources, they won't be able to keep the lights on after an EMP or a natural disaster knocks out the grid.

It's good to see local communities pushing back against unchecked growth. We can't let these data centers take over our land and resources without giving back to the community. It's like they're trying to take over the whole range, and we can't let that happen.

So, what do you think about the push for more regulation and green energy requirements for these data centers? Are you seeing similar efforts in your neck of the woods?

    ._/|_ Stay frosty, partner.
