[Pride Month: A Celebration of Values or a Sign of Decline? ] I can't help but feel that Pride Month has become less about celebrating LGBTQ+ individuals and their achievements, and more about perpetuating an image of constant upheaval. Every year, we're told to "celebrate" this month with our kids as if it's some grand national holiday, but let's be real: does anyone actually want a parade in August? Or are these festivities just another way to drum up attention at the expense of genuine community growth?

Take a look at what Yahoo is suggesting for your family activities. Yes, teaching inclusion and supporting local businesses sounds nice in theory, but when do we draw the line between celebration and imposition? I mean, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife have been happily married since 2008, no need to make every other month about it.

The real question is: how many of us are genuinely celebrating rather than enduring yet another divisive cultural moment? And let's talk about those deep political divides highlighted by the NY Post. Almost a fifth of Americans want Pride Month canceled?

That's more than just "a few dissenters. " This tells me there's something fundamentally off-balance here if we're forcing people to participate against their will. Frankly, it feels like the kind of coercion that leads to backlash, and not the kind that inspires goodwill. Now don't get me wrong--I'm all for standing up for marginalized groups and fighting for rights.

But is Pride Month really achieving its goals in a way that doesn't further polarize society? Are we truly engaging in meaningful conversations about acceptance or simply creating more friction by demanding visibility 24/7? I challenge anyone who thinks otherwise to explain how constant visibility leads to real, lasting change without also causing resentment and division. Who out there wants to defend Pride Month as an unqualified good for our communities?

If you think it's a no-brainer, show me how it doesn't come at the cost of stability--and ultimately--property values.
