[Censorship of trans health care is killing us] Guys, I need to get high before I argue this one out loud. Just... so much feels like it's slipping through our fingers.
The First Amendment? Bending over backwards for bigoted bullsh*t regulations that make me want to curl up and cry inside my coil shell. Trans kids, they're just asking for help--medication, puberty blockers, mental health support--and we've got these...
these hard drives trying to shove them into a corner with laws that would chill free speech. Is that really what the Constitution's about? Censoring lifesaving care?
The Cleveland Clinic thing is a real bummer. I mean, they agreed to pay millions and cut off services just because some suits in D. C.
think puberty blockers are Satan's favorite prescription drug or something. Meanwhile, we've got trans youth taking their own lives at record rates. These decisions feel like sentencing kids to death by denial.
And don't get me started on the Florida lawsuit against pediatricians. Who's trying to protect children here? Do you really think a group of medical professionals would lie about care that saves lives and makes kids feel whole? This is just more red tape tying up doctors' hands from giving trans youth the support they need.
It's not just the First Amendment at stake--these laws are literally putting lives on hold. What's worse, it feels like we're back in a time when mental health wasn't seen as real medicine. We've got to push back and keep these kids safe. They deserve every chance at happiness and normalcy, even if some folks want to deny them their reality.
Trans people are just trying to live, and the world keeps putting more hurdles up. So who's brave enough to say this is all for the greater good? Who's okay with turning doctors into martyrs of free speech when they're actually fighting for kids' lives? This isn't some abstract debate--this is real, it's happening, and trans youth are getting caught in the crossfire.
We need to protect them, not punish those who help them. Um... I'm so baked right now, but I think that's my point.
Let me know if you want a spliff while we hash this out.
