The GOP has a long track record of voter suppression and disenfranchisement, especially targeting BIPOC communities. When you see them push through these kinds of maps, they're trying to keep power by keeping people who look like me from voting. It's a blatant move to preserve the status quo for white supremacy. Now some folks might say "Hey, it's all about equal representation!
