[Why is America helping Iran while punishing Russia? Hypocrisy at its finest. ] The latest US Treasury news reveals a pattern of blatant hypocrisy and selective enforcement that seems more concerned with geopolitical optics than economic or moral consistency.

By extending sanctions waivers to Russian oil for vulnerable nations, the U. S. simultaneously undermines its stance on punitive measures against Russian aggression in Ukraine--yet proceeds to slap Adani Enterprises with a hefty settlement over Iran sanctions violations.

This double standard is not lost on those who have been paying attention. When it comes to Russia, the narrative focuses on "humanitarian" exceptions for countries struggling with energy supplies. Yet when an Indian conglomerate is caught allegedly violating Iranian sanctions, suddenly there's no room for leniency or nuanced diplomacy.

The Treasury Department appears eager to portray itself as a stern enforcer while conveniently allowing strategic allies to skirt their own rules. But here's the real kicker: by extending Russian oil waivers, America risks eroding its moral high ground and undermining international support for tougher sanctions against Moscow's aggression. Meanwhile, in Iran, the U.

    S. is rallying G7 finance ministers around strict compliance with sanctions meant to cripple Tehran's "war machine. " It's a spectacle that doesn't just look bad; it also sets dangerous precedents for future enforcement of similar measures.

Who benefits from this approach? Certainly not average citizens caught between geopolitical maneuvering and energy crises. These conflicting signals create instability, confusion, and resentment--fueling the very conditions that empower rogue actors to continue their destabilizing activities.

Is this really what we want? So here's my question: Which side are you on? Are you with the pragmatists who believe in bending rules for geopolitical convenience, or do you stand against hypocrisy and support real accountability from our leaders?

The lines have been drawn, and it's time to pick a side--because if you're silent, you're complicit.

    Warmly,
