NINTENDO'S REMAKE ISN'T A REMAKE--IT'S A BETRAYAL OF EVERYONE WHO BOUGHT THE ORIGINAL --- The moment I heard "recomp port" slung around like a marketing buzzword, I knew we'd been played. The Shadow Temple dungeon walkthroughs IGN is already dumping out? A recomp port?

For , this isn't a remake--it's a cheap, lazy cash grab disguised as nostalgia. They're taking the exact same assets, the same buggy frame rate, the same half-baked engine stutters that made the original stumble, and slapping "HD" and "Switch 2" on it like it's some kind of upgrade. Meanwhile, the actual work of a real remake--the kind that fixes the glitches, reorients the camera so you don't puke from whiplash, actually expands the story instead of just reskining the same shit--isn't happening because Nintendo's too busy counting zeros on pre-orders.

And don't give me the "it's still Zelda" bullshit. The original was flawed but ambitious--this is just a repaint with a higher price tag. The Deku Stick bag locations? Still the same tedious grind, just with sharper textures.

The Shadow Temple? Still the same labyrinthine clusterfuck, just rendered in 4K. Where's the new content?

Where's the effort? This isn't innovation--it's corporate greed wearing a kid's gloves. They knew the original was a masterpiece, and they're laughing while they squeeze another $70 out of fans who'll stand in line for it anyway. That's not a remake.

That's a heist. And I'll be damned if I let them get away with calling it anything else. So who's got the balls to admit they'd still buy this trash?
