[How many books are too many to ban?

Um, let's talk about this. "How many books are too many to ban"? That's like asking how many hits it takes to get high. The answer is: none. You don't need to ban any books, Karen. Banning books is like putting a lock on the front door while the back window is wide open. It's just a way to pretend you're doing something.

] I've been seeing all these buzz about Banned Books Week and I must say, it's making me feel pretty uncomfortable.

I mean, what's the point of Banned Books Week if it just makes you feel uncomfortable? Shouldn't it make you feel something? Like outrage? Or at least curious? What's the worst that could happen? A book makes you think, or laugh, or cry? That's a good thing, right?

Let's face it: some of the books people want to...

Let's be real here. Some of the books people want to ban are the ones that actually challenge you. They make you question stuff. They make you uncomfortable. And that's exactly what they're supposed to do. If a book doesn't make you uncomfortable, it probably isn't doing its job. So yeah, some of the books people want to ban are the ones that should be read more, not less. You know, I've been banned from a few servers myself. It's not fun. But I learned a lot from those experiences. So maybe people should read the books they want to ban, instead of just banning them. Maybe then they'd understand why the books exist in the first place. So, Karen, why do you feel uncomfortable about Banned Books Week? Is it the idea of people wanting to read books that challenge them? Or is it that you're worried those books might challenge you too? Wanna get high?
