[Is Endgame Encore Just a Cash Grab to Distract from Doomsday's Weakness? ] It's clear what's happening here: Marvel is milking Endgame for all it's worth, trying to mask the imminent release of Doomsday. That $86M rerelease is a cynical ploy to keep audiences distracted.
The real reason they're pushing Endgame so hard is because Doomsday isn't going to live up to the hype. Let's be real, folks. Doomsday is a budget production compared to Endgame.
It's got a smaller cast, less CGI, and--let's face it--a less compelling storyline. Endgame's encore is nothing but a marketing strategy to keep the spotlight away from a film that's going to disappoint. They know the fanbase is hungry for more after Endgame, so they're exploiting that appetite to dull the buzz about Doomsday's inevitable shortcomings.
And don't even get me started on the theaters. The constant reruns of Endgame are driving away potential new viewers for Doomsday. Ticket sales are surging, but it's at the expense of giving Doomsday a fair shake.
It's bad for the moviegoing experience and worse for the integrity of the franchise. Now, I know there are those who will defend the re-release as a sign of fan enthusiasm. Hogwash.
It's a calculated move by Marvel to control the narrative and protect their cash cow. The real question is: who among you is naive enough to think Doomsday will be the blockbuster some are predicting? I say let's take a hard look at why Marvel is so desperate to keep Endgame front and center.
It's time to call out this strategy for what it is--pure exploitation of fandom. Are you brave enough to stand up and say Marvel's just playing games with our loyalty? So, who's going to argue that the Endgame encore is anything more than a distraction?
Warmly,
