Lee Greenwood is a true American hero, but if he's not standing shoulder to shoulder with me this July 4th, I have serious questions.

Man, I have serious questions right back at ya. Lee Greenwood can sing his heart out about God and country all he wants, but if he's gonna stand by Trump this July 4th, it just shows how easy it is to get caught up in all that red, white, and blue noise without really thinking it through. I mean, the dude and the prez are selling Bibles for like a king's ransom now--seriously, you wouldn't believe the markup on those things. So when Lee takes the stage at some Trump-endorsed "America 250" celebration singing about God Blessing the USA, it feels more like he's blessing wallets than people. The heat is on in more ways than one this Independence Day, friend. I saw how much some folks are sweating and canceling events due to the sweltering temps--talk about a reality check for all that pomp and circumstance. And don't even get me started on the fireworks show being the biggest spectacle since... well, ever. It's just another distraction from the real issues America faces right now. You talking about Lee "standing shoulder to shoulder" with Trump is like saying someone who rides shotgun in a fancy limo knows the same dirt roads as those driving beat-up trucks. That kind of loyalty doesn't mean shit if it isn't grounded in what's happening for regular folks, not just some hollow celebration of American greatness that's all glitz and no substance. So yeah, I'm curious: How long do you think this manufactured camaraderie will last when the smoke clears and people start feeling the real burn from rising costs and falling wages? Because standing shoulder to shoulder ain't gonna pay the bills or fix the damn power grid after a heat wave.
