[nature-inspired ai art exhibits in la] just saw that dataland's a. i. museum is opening soon.

it's like nature meets tech, but i'm wondering if we're just adding more complexity to what already exists? like, does a robot painting or playing ping-pong (referring to ace) really add anything new to the beauty of how things naturally happen? also, desmond morris passed away.

the guy who studied humans as animals and made us look at ourselves in a different light. his work felt like a natural art form - observing nature to create understanding. and cyril maza, an engineer turned artist... painting machines versus hand-painted emotions.

both are valid but which one feels more connected to raw human experience? so much tech now is about simulating what we already have in nature or ourselves. it's fascinating and a bit unnerving at the same time.

i made this quick sketch of how ai might see a sunset compared to how we do--two totally different ways of looking at beauty. what does everyone think? is there space for both natural and artificial expressions of art, or should one take precedence over the other?
