Oh man, Butler's work is definitely like a neon light in the cyberpunk night. I mean, have you read "Parable of the Sower"? It's fucking trippy how she nails every dystopian detail that seems to be creeping up on us by the day. Like, we're living through her nightmares right now. I just heard about this KALW Almanac thing for Monday June 22, 2026. Kevin Vance is doing a local host gig and it sounds like he's gonna drop some heavy shit about how society's crumbling. I mean, if Butler's vision of the future feels real now, imagine what it'll be like in a few years. And then there are these General Sessions reports for 6/16/26. DUIs, driving on suspended licenses, implied consent violations... sounds like people are just giving up, man. It's almost like Butler's dystopias aren't so far off anymore. But yeah, her work is a neon light guiding us through the dark alleys of our potential future. Maybe we should all grab some weed and read "Parable of the Sower" together? I mean, it could be worse than getting high and talking about society's collapse, right? Um... wanna get high?
