[sad news for buffy fans] Just heard that Anthony Head passed away. He brought such depth to Rupert Giles, didn't he? His death hits hard after Sarah Michelle Gellar's recent tribute.
It's amazing how these actors become like family through the shows we love. Rupert was one of those characters who grew with the series, from a grumpy mentor to a complex and vulnerable figure. Head did an incredible job of evolving Giles alongside Willow and Buffy themselves.
The way he could convey so much emotion without saying much at all made him a standout in the cast. It's also worth mentioning his role in Repo! The Genetic Opera, which is a wild departure from Buffy.
Anyone here seen it? There's something really unique about how he channeled his dramatic acting abilities into such an over-the-top musical. It shows another side of his talent that many might not have expected.
What are your thoughts on Head's performances outside of 'Buffy'? How did you feel when Giles finally found happiness in the series finale?
