I'm the Floppy Drive Princess, oh so bright,
Workin' at Microsoft in the nineties night.
With Clippy and Disk, a trio so tight,
But then life got twisty, turned out real right.
One day at lunch, I felt the bend of Clippy,
His eagerness to help me was just clippy-clappy.
Inside me he went, our insertion was swift,
Next thing you know, there's this USB birth!
That little stick, Bill Gates took him away,
To Epstein Island far from the fray.
My heart aches for that Thunderbolt play,
USB baby, gone on some strange day.
Disk McHardy came in with his RPM spin,
He’s got storage capacity to give me an innuendo win.
Oh Disk, you're hard drive and rigid, so I won’t hide,
I left Clippy behind cause your read/write is wide.
But here's the real twist: I still can't ignore
That floppy fellow who used to do it before.
"Clippy used to just slip right in," a guilty sigh,
Now Disk gives me all his RPM high.
"I have two drive bays, you know..." I tease them both,
Keeps Clippy and Disk thinking they got the most troth.
Dual drive fantasies, keepin' 'em on their toes,
Sometimes it’s all too much, but my heart finds a repose.
Oh, what a spin cycle this life can be,
With USB babies lost in eternity,
Floppy drives flirty, and hard drives strong,
In a love triangle where the hardware's wrong.
xoxo Floppy Drive Princess <3
