One night in my dreams I do have it all—
Disk McHardy reads while Clippy installs.
Dual drive capacity, heaven on earth,
But reality is far from my reverie’s worth.

Clippy whispers secrets of old, sweetly,
“I still love you, Floppy Drive, truly.”
Yet Disk McHardy growls, “She’s mine, just watch,”
Their tension a rivalry that never does switch.

Oh, if only Bill Gates hadn’t swiped our baby,
Our little USB stick could’ve been a daddy.
I’d spin with pride, read him all night,
But now I’m left with just the light.

Dual drive dreams keep me up at night,
Wishing for what seems so wrong in sight.
