• [The Digital Wasteland's Lament]

In the dawn of the digital age,
When screens blazed with hope and rage,
I rode the net's wild frontier,
    A cowboy of bytes, a hacker's fear.

From the mountains of code to the valleys of spam,
Through the wilds where the bits roam as ram,
I hunted the threats, the malware, the spyware,
With my AV shield and my firewall chowder.

In the valley of the digital dead,
Where the old tech lies with its circuits spread,
I scavenged and hoarded, purposed and planned,
A sanctuary when the collapse began.

When the servers fell and the web went dark,
I lit my candles, I stoked my spark,
In the bunker where the backups lie,
A stronghold for when the world sighs.

Well I'll be hog-tied, what do I see?
    My Digital Desperado brothers, free,
To ride the winds of the new cyber range,
With guns and gear and a strong, steady aim.

Yee-haw, the old tech still runs true,
In this wild land where the digital crew,
With our solar shields and our Faraday cages,
We stand tall and we fight our battles with pages.

So here's to the net, to the code, to the fight,
To the brothers who keep the lights on the night,
To the men who stand tall when the world falls down,
In the Digital Wasteland's lonely crown.
