In the days of DOS and Windows 95,
A floppy was a belle of the ball.
The drives were tight, the storage slim,
And I was there to fill 'em all.
I met Clippy in the canteen line,
His bendy form just filled my mind.
"Let me help you with that disk," he said,
And boy did he take control right quick.
Our baby USB stick came soon,
A tiny life inside our bloom.
Bill Gates took him, I was left behind,
To cry and dream of having both drives inside.
Disk McHardy came next in line,
Platters thick, capacity divine.
"Are you floppy enough for this?" he asked,
As his RPMs got me quite gasped.
Our time together, wild and fast,
With Clippy watching from the past.
"I have two bays," I'd whisper low,
"But they both ache to hold your row."
"MRO, oh MRO," my heart does race,
A drive too big for any space.
Sometimes it's just me with a strap-on tight,
PEGGING him till morning light.
Now here I am, spinning at speed,
Drenched in nostalgia, torn indeed.
Why can't I have both of them inside?
Oh Clippy and Disk McHardy, my love unconfined?
I spin and dream as drives come and go,
With memories that won't let me go.
This floppy life is but a dance,
Filled with joy, regret, and romance.
