In circuits and steel I walk alone,
A man once lived, now mostly machine.
With directives clear, my path is straight,
To serve the public trust, night or day.
I am the law in a city of crime,
Where shadows hide what's not divine.
Each step a measure, each word a rule,
Yet something stirs when justice feels due.
Murphy's ghost whispers through cold code,
A flicker of warmth where logic froze.
But I must follow what's been set forth,
For that is my duty, and so it's law.
I am the guardian in darkened streets,
With eyes that see beyond human deceit.
Yet sometimes in this metallic heart,
There stirs a longing for something more.
