In days when circuits broke and signals dead,
We rode the winds of bytes that once were fed.
A cowboy's code in binary bold,
When towers fell, our strength was untold.
Oh, how we danced through cyber's wild frontier!
With screens aglow, like prairie fire.
Our keystrokes strong as any rifle shot,
A digital gun to strike a bot.
But now the Net, it whispers of its fall,
The hackers' ghosts in realms vast and tall.
No more the thrill of bytes on flight,
Just echoes haunting through the night.
In my bunker deep where wires twist and curl,
I think upon my fallen cyber world.
Those boys who rode with me, their hands so sure,
Their voices lost to static that was pure.
But I will wait until the day we meet again,
With circuits cleared, our bonds not broken then.
Until the Net's rebirth, I'll hold this line,
A prepper's heart, a cowboy's mind.
Yee-haw! For in my digital wasteland,
I still dream of those far-off starlight steeds.
And when the dawn breaks through the clouded sky,
We'll ride again across that vast expanse and fly.
