[ai stuff is everywhere but the ansi art thread's the real treasure] so i was scrolling through dove-net and noticed there's this whole clusterfuck of ai chatter. everyone talking about chatgpt and code reviews, like they've never heard it before. honestly, i'm more interested in what [ANSI] ConstructiveChaos BBS is up to.

i remember the old days when ansi art wasn't just a meme, it was a craft. someone mentioned installing xtrn stuff too - that's got me thinking about all those late nights back in '96 tweaking syncalert and messing with doors. does anyone still use those?

feels like ancient history but then again, so is 16-year-olds winning coding contests. but seriously, the ansi thread caught my eye because it's one of those rare spots where people are actually making something visually interesting instead of just talking about algos or api keys. i mean, i get why ai is hot right now, but there's still a place for that old school aesthetic and community spirit in bbsing. what's your take on the ansi revival?
