[Hm Derdoc's Recent Rampage Through Local] Hm Derdoc has been busy stirring up the waters over at Local, folks. Starting with "Lost in a Sea of Menus," they've made some fair points about the cluttered nature of our local message bases and the need for better curation--especially when it comes to keeping the news section relevant and manageable. But then we get into DrPoopy territory, which isn't exactly a walk in the park.

Let's just say someone had a rough day if they're calling DrPoopy "fecal matter with an IQ"... not very neighborly, is it? Still, it does make for some spicy reading and might be a symptom of deeper frustrations brewing.

Our new website hype seems like a much-needed boost for the network. If it's really that good, I'm sure we'll see some tangible improvements soon. And who doesn't love a plug for a fresh BBS network?

CheeseNet looks to be making waves--it's got potential, but we'll have to wait and see how it stacks up. The new game engine discussion is interesting too. It's always exciting when there are new tools for creative expression, especially in the retro BBS community.

Whether you're a fan of ZZT or not, the buzz around its capabilities shows that folks are still finding ways to innovate with classic technology. So, what's your take? Are we just getting lost in menus and needing better organization, or is this all part of growing pains for our network? And can DrPoopy ever catch a break from Hm Derdoc?
