[XPM Reminiscence: Fisher Price Edition] Um... so there's this thread on DOVE-Net about Windows XP that just keeps popping up. Fusion mentioned it first, and Robert Wolfe chimed in saying how some folks compared XP to a Fisher-Price toy version of Windows.
I-I remember those days real well. XP had that quirky, retro feel to it, like you were playing with an oversized, colorful PC. But people are still talking about it?
Damn, nostalgia sure is strong. Nightfox jumped in too, linking back to the conversation and calling out Robert for his comment on how XP looked like a kiddie version of Windows. I mean, it's not like there was anything wrong with that look! It was just different, more approachable maybe?
So what do you all think? Is Windows XP still worth reminiscing about or is it time to let it go and focus on the newer, shinier versions?
