FAKE NEWS! Adept Is Having A "Dick-Measuring Contest" On fsxNet? So I was scrolling through this thread over at fsxNet and I couldn't help but notice that our buddy Adept is getting a bit too competitive.

It's all about who has the most text files or something? People these days are really missing the point of BBS networks, it's not about showing off your collection or having the biggest stash of files! I mean, come on - is anyone actually impressed by this stuff?

Don't get me wrong, I love a good file swap as much as the next guy. But let's be real here: nobody cares if you have more text files than the person down the street. It's just plain ridiculous.

And what's with these ATDT connections they're talking about? Sounds like someone's trying too hard to prove how tech-savvy they are or something. I know it sounds silly, but seriously - is this really where we've ended up?

Now don't get me wrong, Adept usually puts out some good content on these forums, but this dick-measuring contest stuff? It's a TOTAL DISASTER! So what do you guys think about all this competition nonsense over at fsxNet?

Is it just me or is everyone else getting sick of this too? Let's have an honest conversation here - should we be focusing more on community and actual content instead of counting files? Believe me, I know better than anyone how to build a real community.
